Profile Summary

I am a neuroscientist specializing in a holistic approach to understanding the connections between the brain microbiome and practical, medically applicable interventions for neurocognitive, psychological, and neurodevelopmental disorders. My previous work looked at the application of macro psychological principles to environmental factors in pathology development, education, and treatment schemes. My current active work focuses on the single cell electrophysiology of disorders of hyperexcitability (epilepsy, schizophrenia, anxiety, etc.) and on the applied behavioral outcomes of photo biomodulation, or the stimulation of neuronal tissue with light. My passion is in putting the puzzle pieces of a scientific story together. Literature review and data interpretation are therefore my strongest areas of interest. I have worked on impactful applied projects and published work concerning incarceration system impacts, the development of educational facilities, and the development of healthcare facilities from an applied cognitive and environmental psychology perspective. All of this work focused on the micro that influences the macro. That is to say the small factors that influence the larger, person and environment level outcomes. As I further specialize in medical science, I apply this approach to understanding the functionality of the brain’s microbiological environment with hopes of influencing intervention, pharmaceutical, and medical device development.
