I have over 9 years professional experience in Animal science, Animal nutrition, feed formulation, feed additives, sales & marketing, food safety & security. A good portion of this experience has been in Animal Nutrition whereby i have traveled and practiced widely across the globe. These travels have exposed me to diverse practices of Agriculture in regions like India, Middle East and Africa and the USA . I have leveraged on being a global citizen to understand cultural and ideological diversity. This has occasioned my ability to learn and unlearn things for the benefit of industry development. I intend to use the knowledge and skills acquired through my education and career to improve the livelihoods of many people across the globe. Am well skilled in formulating livestock diets using the modern software/applications, the use of modern technology in Animal agriculture hence revolutionizing and increasing efficiency in the sector. Am able to carry out proper diagnosis and treatment of livestock diseases hence improving Animal Health which results to increased productivity. Am very passionate in technologies involved in the mitigation of climate change. I have worked on this aspect in my research which involved measuring enteric methane emissions from cattle in Sub-Saharan Africa. My passion on the judicious use of antibiotics enabled me to successfully co-ordinate the 2019 World Antibiotic Awareness Week student activity in Nairobi, Kenya. I have received several awards notably; conference awards (e.g. Lead speaker at International Conference on Animal Nutrition-India 2019), research fellowship (ILRI) and University post-graduate scholarships among others.
