A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4960792\/\">case study<\/a> in a teaching hospital in the US also demonstrated that the same reason was a barrier to implementation of research findings by nurses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Challenges in practising evidence-based medicine (EBM): <\/strong>Apart from lack of time, some of the <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.lww.com\/academicmedicine\/fulltext\/2016\/01000\/challenges_to_learning_evidence_based_medicine_and.32.aspx\">challenges to practising evidence-based medicine<\/a> in clinical settings include conflicts between evidence-based recommendations and patient preferences, and weak available evidence. Often, evidence comes in the form of reports which have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/362\/bmj.k2799\/rr-1\">weakly analysed and interpreted<\/a>, affecting clinical judgement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inadequate research training for physicians:<\/strong> Medical doctors are trained first and foremost to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kevinmd.com\/blog\/2015\/05\/the-challenge-of-evidence-based-medicine-to-the-new-physician.html\">practice clinical medicine<\/a>.
