Em vez de usar 0s e 1s nos m\u00e9todos tradicionais, as informa\u00e7\u00f5es no DNA s\u00e3o registradas como A, T, G e Cs (adenina, citosina, timina e guanina). A maneira como isto funcionaria \u00e9 que atribu\u00edmos diferentes c\u00f3digos bin\u00e1rios aos nucleot\u00eddeos. Por exemplo, 00 = A, 01 = C, 10 = T e 11 = G. Agora, uma imagem \u00e9 normalmente codificada como uma s\u00e9rie de 0s e 1s; um exemplo do in\u00edcio da s\u00e9rie pode ser 0011100100. Se as partirmos em pares - 00 11 10 01 00 -- isso se traduziria em A-G-T-C-A. Esta seq\u00fc\u00eancia seria a ordem dos nucleot\u00eddeos para formar um filamento de DNA. Uma vez determinada a seq\u00fc\u00eancia, o DNA pode ser sintetizado quimicamente, seco e armazenado em pequenos frascos protegidos da luz e da umidade. Uma \u00fanica grama de DNA pode armazenar at\u00e9 215 milh\u00f5es de gigabytes de dados.<\/p>\n<p>O DNA pode \"ler de volta\" usando uma abordagem de seq\u00fcenciamento de DNA, usada em rotina em v\u00e1rios laborat\u00f3rios em todo o mundo.
