But can it also be beautiful?<\/p>\n<p>Giorgia Lupi, in her TED talk &#8220;How we can find ourselves in data&#8221;, gives us a new perspective on data and explores how it can represent human nature and curioisity. In her words, &#8220;<span id=\"t-253200\" class=\"talk-transcript__fragment\" data-time=\"253200\">People are not interested in data for the sake of it,<\/span> <span id=\"t-255960\" class=\"talk-transcript__fragment\" data-time=\"255960\">because numbers are never the point.<\/span> <span id=\"t-257839\" class=\"talk-transcript__fragment\" data-time=\"257839\">They&#8217;re always the means to an end.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Giorgia Lupi was also the founder of &#8220;Friends in Space&#8221;, a social network that connected us to astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti in the International Space Station.
