La proteina S del virus identifica il recettore dell'enzima di conversione dell'angiotensina-I 2 (ACE2) ed entra nella cellula del suo ospite.  Una volta entrato nella cellula, il sistema immunitario del corpo produce un gran numero di citochine (IL-2, IL-6, IL-7, GSCF, IP10, MCP1, MIP1A, e TNF\u03b1) nel tentativo di uccidere il virus. Il rilascio di questi fattori infiammatori si traduce in una grave <\/span><b>tempesta di citochine<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, un fenomeno che porta all'edema, sindromi da disfunzione di organi multipli <\/span><b>(MODS)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, sindrome da distress respiratorio acuto <\/span><b>(ARDS)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>deplezione delle cellule immunitarie<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> e la morte. (1-3)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Fino ad ora, non c'\u00e8 consenso tra le autorit\u00e0 sanitarie sulla classificazione clinica della COVID-19, tuttavia, la maggior parte concorda sul fatto che la malattia varia tra le sue forme da lievi a gravi o criticamente gravi. Tuttavia, ci sono informazioni limitate sulla sua sicurezza ed efficacia. (6) Pertanto, \u00e8 necessario considerare alternative all'uso del Remdesivir. Inoltre, questi <\/span><b>studi<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sono <\/span><b>limitato ai virus dell'influenza<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> e hanno <\/span><b>ha prodotto risultati contrastanti<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
