Aujourd'hui, 20 ans apr\u00e8s la diffusion de l'\u00e9pisode, la solution au probl\u00e8me a \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9e par un math\u00e9maticien ind\u00e9pendant. Il s'av\u00e8re que l'astuce \u00e9tait de trouver le bon angle de\u00a0<em>inclinaison<\/em> qui aurait permis d'amener le canap\u00e9 avec succ\u00e8s jusqu'\u00e0 l'appartement de Ross.<\/p>\n<p>L'expert qui a aid\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre ce probl\u00e8me est le freelance Kolabtree <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kolabtree.com\/find-an-expert\/caroline-zaborowski\/?utm_source=Blog&amp;utm_medium=Post&amp;utm_campaign=Friends-Pivot\">Caroline Zabarowski<\/a> (Zunckel). Cow PR, une agence de relations publiques bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Londres, a post\u00e9 le projet sur <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kolabtree.com\/\">Kolabtree<\/a> pour le compte de leur client, SpareRoom. Ils \u00e9taient \u00e0 la recherche d'un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kolabtree.com\/find-an-expert\/subject\/mathematics?utm_source=Blog&amp;utm_medium=Post&amp;utm_campaign=Friends-Pivot\">math\u00e9maticien ind\u00e9pendant<\/a> pour trouver une formule permettant de faire entrer un canap\u00e9 dans un appartement, surtout s'il n'y a ni ascenseur ni escalier.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sc\u00e8ne dr\u00f4le d&#039;amis - PIVOT !!!!!\" width=\"702\" height=\"395\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Tam7KO4qhUI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Une fois le projet publi\u00e9 sur Kolabtree, ils ont re\u00e7u six propositions de math\u00e9maticiens et de scientifiques des donn\u00e9es du monde entier. La proposition qui s'est d\u00e9marqu\u00e9e \u00e9tait une d\u00e9composition d\u00e9taill\u00e9e du probl\u00e8me de la part de Caroline, une astrophysicienne titulaire d'un doctorat en astrophysique de l'Universit\u00e9 d'Oxford, et de plusieurs ann\u00e9es d'exp\u00e9rience de travail en science des donn\u00e9es et en math\u00e9matiques.<\/p>\n<p>En pr\u00e9sentant le probl\u00e8me de mani\u00e8re sch\u00e9matique et en effectuant 10 000 simulations, Caroline a propos\u00e9 l'\u00e9quation suivante pour trouver l'angle d'inclinaison vertical correct :<\/p>\n<p>Angle d'inclinaison verticale = 44,15064 - (11,94274 x WS) + (8,69119 x WC) + (3,65961 x LC)<br \/>\no\u00f9 WS est la largeur de la cage d'escalier, WC la largeur du canap\u00e9 et LC la longueur du canap\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Plut\u00f4t cool, non ?
