Cela semble peu probable, non ? Et sur quoi ont-ils travaill\u00e9 ensemble ? L'analyse des donn\u00e9es ! Le chercheur (de l'universit\u00e9 de Stony Brook, New York) \u00e9tudiait l'effet de la fr\u00e9quence des visites \u00e0 la salle de sport sur les r\u00e9sultats scolaires. Son \u00e9quipe n'a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure d'obtenir un mod\u00e8le significatif \u00e0 partir d'un ensemble de donn\u00e9es de pr\u00e8s de 800 000 enregistrements. Il a publi\u00e9 son projet sur <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kolabtree.com\/?utm_source=BlogRWB\">Kolabtree<\/a>et un astrophysicien de l'Imperial College London (qui a l'habitude de manipuler de grands ensembles de donn\u00e9es, comme on peut l'imaginer) l'ont aid\u00e9 \u00e0 mener le projet \u00e0 bien.<\/p>\n<p>Ce n'est l\u00e0 qu'un exemple parmi tant d'autres des nombreuses collaborations transfrontali\u00e8res qui ont lieu dans le monde entier. La science devenant de plus en plus interdisciplinaire, il existe de multiples chevauchements dans les comp\u00e9tences et les connaissances requises pour les diff\u00e9rents domaines d'\u00e9tudes. Selon un <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/new\/en\/natural-sciences\/science-technology\/single-view-sc-policy\/news\/international_scientific_collaboration_has_become_a_must_sa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/new\/en\/natural-sciences\/science-technology\/single-view-sc-policy\/news\/international_scientific_collaboration_has_become_a_must_sa\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1493279563310000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHocskE0gPPH4MvnBX1UJ-3AmOa9A\">Rapport scientifique de l'UNESCO<\/a>, \"un article scientifique sur quatre produit dans le monde a \u00e9t\u00e9 cosign\u00e9 par un collaborateur \u00e9tranger en 2014, contre un sur cinq dix ans plus t\u00f4t.\" Les pays du monde entier se donnent la main pour contribuer \u00e0 alimenter la recherche et l'innovation, dans un climat politique qui devient alarmant et anti-science. Dans le cadre d'Horizon 2020, le programme de recherche et d'innovation de l'UE, les universit\u00e9s de l'UE et des \u00c9tats-Unis pourront collaborer \u00e9troitement. Science Europe et Elsevier ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scienceeurope.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/SE_and_Elsevier_Report_Final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.scienceeurope.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/SE_and_Elsevier_Report_Final.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1493279563310000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFRhiXgOZMFX6gW5ZZERzRpfWO-ZA\">\u00e9tude<\/a> qui a examin\u00e9 les collaborations transfrontali\u00e8res et a constat\u00e9 que \"les chercheurs aux \u00c9tats-Unis sont plus susceptibles de collaborer avec des chercheurs en dehors des \u00c9tats-Unis que les chercheurs en Europe sont susceptibles de collaborer avec des chercheurs en dehors de l'Europe\". Cela signifie \u00e9galement que les chercheurs europ\u00e9ens disposent d'un \u00e9norme potentiel pour \u00e9tendre leur r\u00e9seau en dehors de la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<p>Nous avons vu des partenariats transfrontaliers dans tous les domaines de la science et de la technologie - prenez la NASA-ISRO (NISAR), Novartis-Google (lentilles de contact intelligentes), GE-Microsoft (PaaS). In healthcare, collaborative platforms help deliver quality medical services around the world &#8211; John Hopkins works with institutions in Canada, Turkey, UAE, Singapore and Brazil, just to name a few.
