El LHC se construy\u00f3 en colaboraci\u00f3n con m\u00e1s de 10.000 cient\u00edficos e ingenieros de m\u00e1s de 100 pa\u00edses, as\u00ed como con cientos de universidades y laboratorios. Shire plc y el Centro M\u00e9dico del Hospital Infantil de Cincinnati han anunciado recientemente una amplia colaboraci\u00f3n de investigaci\u00f3n de tres a\u00f1os para combatir las enfermedades raras. Y AstraZeneca ha firmado un acuerdo de colaboraci\u00f3n de cinco a\u00f1os con el Instituto de C\u00e9lulas Madre de Harvard (HSCI) para encontrar nuevos tratamientos contra la diabetes.<\/p>\n

El mundo nunca ha estado tan conectado y nunca antes hemos tenido los medios para colaborar sin problemas como lo hacemos actualmente. El mundo cient\u00edfico necesita colaborar m\u00e1s que nunca; sin embargo, en la mayor\u00eda de los casos, los medios para encontrar los socios colaboradores adecuados siguen dependiendo en gran medida de las conexiones personales, la creaci\u00f3n de redes en las conferencias y la serendipia.<\/p>\n

En una \u00e9poca en la que trabajos de postdoctorado<\/a> son cada vez m\u00e1s escasos, es casi sorprendente que muchas empresas se vean obligadas a frenar sus planes de innovaci\u00f3n por falta de un colaborador en la investigaci\u00f3n. Un poco de investigaci\u00f3n revela que la falta de una plataforma adecuada que permita la colaboraci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica est\u00e1 causando estos problemas.<\/p>\n
