En la actualidad, la historia del Oc\u00e9ano \u00cdndico ha cobrado un renovado inter\u00e9s, ya que nos recuerda la mayor movilidad y traves\u00eda con un impacto tal que nos obliga a repensar c\u00f3mo funcionan los procesos de dichos encuentros y qu\u00e9 representan las zonas. Son muchas las historias que quedan por contar dentro de este escenario interregional cosmopolita. La ocasi\u00f3n de este libro es, por tanto, tratar de remodelar nuestra comprensi\u00f3n de \u00c1frica y Asia. Comprender los imperios terrestres y mar\u00edtimos del Oc\u00e9ano \u00cdndico desde diferentes perspectivas metodol\u00f3gicas y diferentes temas y culturas es el principal motivo de esta colecci\u00f3n de estudios. Prof. Beatrice Nicolini<\/span> Es licenciada en Relaciones Internacionales y Gobierno Comparado por la Universidad de Harvard (EE.UU.) y graduada en Ciencias Pol\u00edticas por la Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Mil\u00e1n (Italia). Es un miembro del Comit\u00e9 de la Escuela de Doctorado 'Historia<\/span> and Politics\u2019 at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Milan, Italy. Her investigaci\u00f3n<\/a> focuses on the connections between South Occidental<\/span> Asia, el Golfo P\u00e9rsico\/\u00c1rabe y el \u00c1frica Oriental Subsahariana.
