Klingt unwahrscheinlich, oder? Und woran haben sie zusammengearbeitet? Datenanalytik! Der Forscher (von der Stony Brook University, New York) untersuchte die Auswirkung der H\u00e4ufigkeit von Fitnessstudio-Besuchen auf die schulischen Leistungen. Sein Team war nicht in der Lage, aus dem Datensatz von fast 800 000 Datens\u00e4tzen ein aussagekr\u00e4ftiges Muster zu erkennen. Er ver\u00f6ffentlichte sein Projekt auf <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kolabtree.com\/?utm_source=BlogRWB\">Kolabtree<\/a>und ein Astrophysiker vom Imperial College London (der, wie man sich denken kann, an den Umgang mit gro\u00dfen Datenmengen gew\u00f6hnt ist) halfen ihm, das Projekt zum Abschluss zu bringen.<\/p>\n<p>Dies ist nur eines von vielen Beispielen f\u00fcr die zahlreichen grenz\u00fcberschreitenden Kooperationen, die auf der ganzen Welt stattfinden. Da die Wissenschaft zunehmend interdisziplin\u00e4r wird, gibt es zahlreiche \u00dcberschneidungen bei den F\u00e4higkeiten und Kenntnissen, die f\u00fcr verschiedene Studienbereiche erforderlich sind. Laut einer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/new\/en\/natural-sciences\/science-technology\/single-view-sc-policy\/news\/international_scientific_collaboration_has_become_a_must_sa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/new\/en\/natural-sciences\/science-technology\/single-view-sc-policy\/news\/international_scientific_collaboration_has_become_a_must_sa\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1493279563310000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHocskE0gPPH4MvnBX1UJ-3AmOa9A\">UNESCO-Wissenschaftsbericht<\/a>Jeder vierte wissenschaftliche Artikel, der weltweit verfasst wird, wurde 2014 von einem ausl\u00e4ndischen Mitarbeiter mitunterzeichnet, zehn Jahre zuvor war es noch jeder f\u00fcnfte. L\u00e4nder auf der ganzen Welt schlie\u00dfen sich zusammen, um Forschung und Innovation in einem politischen Klima voranzutreiben, das in erschreckendem Ma\u00dfe wissenschaftsfeindlich wird. Im Rahmen von Horizont 2020, dem Forschungs- und Innovationsprogramm der EU, k\u00f6nnen die Hochschulen in der EU und den USA eng zusammenarbeiten. Science Europe und Elsevier f\u00fchrten eine <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scienceeurope.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/SE_and_Elsevier_Report_Final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/www.scienceeurope.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/SE_and_Elsevier_Report_Final.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1493279563310000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFRhiXgOZMFX6gW5ZZERzRpfWO-ZA\">Studie<\/a> die grenz\u00fcberschreitende Kooperationen untersuchte und feststellte, dass \"Forscher in den USA eher mit Forschern au\u00dferhalb der USA zusammenarbeiten als Forscher in Europa mit Forschern au\u00dferhalb Europas\". Dies bedeutet auch, dass es ein gro\u00dfes Potenzial f\u00fcr europ\u00e4ische Forscher gibt, ihr Netzwerk au\u00dferhalb der Region zu erweitern.<\/p>\n<p>Grenz\u00fcberschreitende Partnerschaften gibt es in allen Bereichen von Wissenschaft und Technik - man denke an NASA-ISRO (NISAR), Novartis-Google (intelligente Kontaktlinsen), GE-Microsoft (PaaS). F\u00fcnf Tech-Giganten - Google, Amazon, IBM, Facebook und Microsoft - haben\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2016\/sep\/28\/google-facebook-amazon-ibm-microsoft-partnership-on-ai-tech-firms\">haben k\u00fcrzlich gegr\u00fcndet<\/a> the Partnership on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kolabtree.com\/blog\/de\/ensuring-reproducibility-in-ai-driven-research-how-freelance-experts-can-help-in-biotech-and-healthcare\/\">K\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz<\/a> to Benefit People and Society.
